Crest Renewal Whitestrips® work!!! I had tremendous results when I used them for the allotted amount of time. The strips will most likely be difficult to get on at first, but this goes away with more use. The only downside to them is that they need to be used twice daily for 30 minutes each time. One good thing about them is that I was able to talk while I had them in, but my voice sounded a little bit different. Also, I had no problem with them sticking to my teeth. I used the two strips back to back for a total of one hour. Part of the reason that I had such wonderful results may be because of this fact. The bad part of doing it this way this was that I my teeth and gums were much more sensitive when I brushed and flossed. I would not recommend using the strips for a whole hour all ten days because of the added sensitivity, but I think that this gave me better results. I am extremely satisfied with Crest Renewal Whitestrips® simply because they work so well; I will definitely use them again, if I ever need to.

Aquafresh White Trays ®

Aquafresh® White Trays started out with a bold claim: to visibly whiten teeth in just three days. For me, my teeth were whiter after three applications, but not very much. Even after using all seven trays, just a very small difference is noticeable. At first, the trays were somewhat difficult to get situated on my teeth, but this went away with more use. One thing that did not go away was the difficulty of keeping the trays in place once they were on my teeth. The top tray fit very well and normally stayed put, but the bottom tray was too small for me. It was by far the harder of the two to keep on my teeth. Another problem that I had was with some of the gel coming off of the tray. This mainly happened when I salivated, which I did much of. Part of this problem was because I used the trays for the maximum recommended time of 45 minutes. The suggested time was between 30 and 45 minutes. One night, I had a small amount if sensitiveness, but this could have been caused by flossing too hard. To make sure that my results were accurate, I changed nothing in my routine of brushing twice a day and flossing once a day. All in all, the Aquafresh® White Trays were not quite as effective as I had hoped but they were definitely worth the price of about $15.

Aveda Outer Peace acne relief lotion is a natural blend of plant extracts and minerals which help nourish and moisturize the skin while controlling oil. Wash your face daily with a wash cloth and gentle cleansing wash. This doens't mean that you use the same bar of soap you use to wash your body or the same wash cloth you use to wash off your feet. Regular bar soap is way to harsh.
- No fragrances
- No detergent
- Use a gentle cleanser designed for the face.
- Ideally wash your face in the morning before shaving and also before sleeping.
Use an exoliant scrub at least once a week. Don't use a body scrub on your face, but actually use a facial exoliant.
Shave after you take your shower and wash your face. The effects of the shower and your morning wash will help provide a smoother closer shave.
Follow-up with a moisturizing lotion fortified with antioxidants. Look for a moisturizers that are hypoallergenic and free of fragrances.

Teeth Whitening Update

Listerine Whitening Strips are different from all other whitening strips on the market today for one reason: they dissolve on your teeth. As soon as you put the strips on your teeth, they immediately begin dissolving, leaving nothing to peel off. The whole regiment takes a total of 14 days, putting the strips on twice per day. For me, it took no less than10-15 minutes for the first strips to dissolve enough to put the second ones on. They do leave a film on your teeth, which lasted for several hours or until I ate something. Just a word to the wise though, you may want to brush your teeth after eating, as food can stick to whatever film is left. Another benefit is equal sized strips for top and bottom, but the whitening agent is on only one side of the strip, so the directions must be followed precisely regarding which way to put them on. Although cleanup is basically nonexistent, the downside is that there is almost no room for error; and if the strips get wet at all before getting them set in place, they may partially dissolve on your hands or lips. Also, take care not to pull on them too much as they will stretch out. As to how well they worked, I saw good results, but I was not amazed by them. If you are only want just a few shades whiter, these are perfect, but I would not recommend them if you want more than that. Overall, I was happy with these strips and the ease with which they are used. That said however, they did not give me amazing results, but they are ideal for the results that they did give.
